Silverson's range of In-Line mixers offers many advantages to the operator, such as speed, versatility, self-pumping action, no air, and guaranteed efficiency. At the heart of each mixer is Silverson's high-performance rotor/stator workhead. The high rotation speed of the rotor blades combined with the precision manufacturing of the workhead exerts a strong suction action that attracts liquid and solid substances, bringing them into the workhead. Subsequently, the centrifugal force produced by the rotating blades pushes the substances toward the peripheral area of the workhead, where they are subjected to a shearing action in the high-precision-crafted space between the end of the rotor blades and the inner wall of the stator. This stage is followed by intense hydraulic shear action during the high-speed forced ejection of materials through the holes in the stator, then continuing to the machine outlet and then into the pipeline. Simultaneously, more new material is pulled into the workhead, keeping the mixing and pumping cycle active.
