Equipment Description

The Spectrum Labs SAW-KML-12 is a stainless steel bench scale built for laboratory and process weighing, assembled in the USA by Arlyn Scales. The nameplate on the underside of this unit reads Model SAW-KML-12, Capacity 60 KG / RS 232, 6-24 VDC, Serial Number 44797E. The scale has a 60,000 g capacity with 1 g readability, as marked on the front of the indicator, and a flat stainless steel weighing platform measuring approximately 12 x 12 inches. The attached keypad indicator provides a backlit LCD readout with tare, zero, print, net/gross and units functions, plus a numeric keypad entry, and the unit includes an RS-232 serial output for data collection. It runs on low-voltage 6-24 VDC supplied through an external adapter. Photos of this unit show the stainless platter with normal surface scratching, the indicator with its cable glands and two attached cables, and the leveling feet beneath the platform. No power supply, weights or other accessories are confirmed in the photos, and the display is not lit in the images, so operating condition has not been verified. Overall dimensions are approximately 14 x 12 x 6 inches; the scale is a self-contained benchtop unit that can be hand carried.
