Equipment Description

The Stuart SRT9D is a benchtop digital roller mixer with nine rollers, used to gently mix blood samples, cell suspensions, viscous liquids and other laboratory solutions with minimal aeration. It combines a rolling and rocking action, and the rollers are suited to tubes and bottles of a range of diameters. The unit is digitally controlled with a variable speed range of 5 to 60 rpm and an integral programmable timer. The front panel carries start/stop and mode buttons, a red LED display showing speed and time, and a combined mains/control knob. Per the manufacturer's published data the model provides a 16 mm mixing amplitude, 340 x 30 mm rollers and a 10 kg maximum load, and is rated for continuous operation including use in cold rooms or incubators. The rating label on this unit (photo 4) reads CAT No SRT9D/120, 110/120V, 50/60 Hz, 50 W, fuse F3.15A, and the label carries the CE mark; the serial number is R109000124. The photos show the mixer standing on a laboratory bench with its roller bed and removable side panels in place and the LED display illuminated. No accessories beyond the unit itself are shown.
