Equipment Description
TBJ Incorporated Model 24-48 DD-AH-C is a stainless steel downdraft ventilated workstation built for laboratory grossing, dissection, necropsy, trimming and similar procedures that generate odors, vapors and aerosols. Air is drawn down and back through a perforated work surface and rear plenum and ducted away from the operator's breathing zone when connected to a facility exhaust system, so the user works in a ventilated enclosure rather than over an open bench. The unit is of all stainless steel construction with a perforated, removable two-section downdraft grate over a coved, drainable collection pan (photos 2 and 3), a stainless enclosure with side panels and a hinged upper sash/viewing window, and a top-mounted exhaust collar/duct transition at the rear (photo 1). Plumbing and services are integrated: a wall-mounted faucet/fixture with vacuum breaker and a coiled air line with spray gun at the right side of the work opening, an electrical receptacle on the side panel, a ball-valved water supply and a trapped drain line below the deck, and an electrical enclosure/switch box under the work surface (photos 1 and 4). Chromed lifting columns with protective bellows beneath the deck provide a height-adjustable work surface (photo 4). The nameplate (photo 6) lists Model 24-48 DD-AH-C, serial SO193240-1, date of manufacture 09-19, and electrical ratings of 115 volts, 1 phase, 60 Hz, 15 amps. Overall footprint recorded for this unit is approximately 54 in long x 32 in wide x 84 in high with an estimated shipping weight of 700 lbs. The workstation is shown in place at the seller's biopharmaceutical facility, hard-plumbed to water and drain and connected to electrical conduit, so it must be disconnected before removal. Loose stainless panels, a small stainless container and packing paper are resting on the work surface in photo 1; the exact set of loose parts and accessories included should be confirmed with the seller. No condition testing or operational information was recorded during the site visit.
