Thermal Solutions EVS1000BN1-UCB Evolution gas fired hot water boiler. The Evolution series is a sealed combustion, modulating natural gas boiler intended for closed loop hydronic heating duty. The data plate on this unit lists an input of 1,000,000 BTU/HR with a minimum firing rate of 334,000 BTU/HR and an output of 880,000 BTU/HR, a heating surface of 175 SQ FT, and a secondary heat exchanger rated 175. Per the nameplate, the boiler is equipped for natural gas with a gas supply pressure of 7.0 IN WC minimum to 5.0 PSI maximum. ASME ratings are 160 PSI maximum allowable working pressure on water and 250 degrees F maximum water temperature, with a minimum relief valve capacity of 1750 LBS per hour. Electrical supply is 460 volts, 3 phase, 60 Hz at 3.0 amps, with 120 volt, 1 phase controls at 0.7 amp and a 460 volt, 3 phase combustion air blower motor at 2.13 amps. The assembly carries a cULus listed gas fired boiler assembly label (A-84751133) and is certified by Thermal Solutions, Lancaster, PA, dated 11/6/2009. The unit is fitted with a TSBC boiler control with alphanumeric display and MENU/UP/DOWN/ENTER keypad, power and alarm indicators, a McDonnell & Miller GuardDog 750-MT-120 low water cut-off with manual reset, and a Thermal Solutions combustion air filter, part number 81156005 (replacement element 81156011). Threaded supply and return connections, a flue outlet and a combustion air intake are located on the rear of the cabinet, and the upper jacket panel has been removed in several photos, exposing the heat exchanger and blower. The boiler was removed from service at a medical device facility and is stored free standing with the upper section stretch wrapped. A State of Arizona Boiler Safety inspection tag dated 08/11/2021 is attached to the control panel, showing status Active, max temperature 250, inspector Jarrod Losh, FM Global. No operational testing was recorded at the time of inspection.
