Equipment Description

Thermo Scientific Drybath Standard 2-Block Dry Bath (Cat. No. 88870002), a benchtop dry block heater used to hold tubes, vials or plates at a set temperature for incubation, sample preparation, denaturation and similar routine lab work. The unit accepts two interchangeable modular blocks, allowing block types to be swapped for different tube or plate formats. The nameplate on the rear of the unit lists Cat. No. 88870002, Model Drybath Stdrd 2blck 100-120V, 100-120V~, 50/60 Hz, 400 W, with a 250V 5A (5x20 mm) fuse. The unit is cULus listed and CE marked. Controls consist of a front digital display with HEAT and ALARM indicators and SET/CAL, up, down, SHIFT and START/STOP keys for temperature setting and calibration; operating instructions for setting and calibrating are printed on the front panel. The unit is shown on a bench with the two block wells empty - no heating blocks are visible in the photos, and none are confirmed as included. Cosmetically there is residual label adhesive on the top deck and front bezel and a facility asset label on the control panel. Condition was not otherwise documented and the display is not lit in the photos, so operation has not been verified.
