Thermo Scientific EC300 XL Electrophoresis Power Supply

The Thermo Scientific EC300 XL is a compact benchtop electrophoresis power supply used to drive horizontal and vertical gel units, blotting tanks and similar DNA, RNA and protein separation applications in research and QC laboratories. The unit is self-contained, runs from a standard 100-120 V, 50/60 Hz outlet through a rear IEC inlet, and draws a maximum of 100 VA, as read from the nameplate on the rear of this unit (serial number C1596170100292). The EC300 XL provides constant-voltage, constant-current and constant-power operation with an output range of 10 to 300 VDC and 4 to 400 mA, up to 75 W total, and a programmable timer of 0 to 999 minutes. Three sets of output jacks on the front panel allow up to three gel units to be run at the same time. Settings and running values are shown on a red LED digital display, with Set, K and Run membrane keys and up/down arrows for adjusting volts, milliamps and time.
