Equipment Description
Vacuubrand BVC professional fluid aspiration system, a benchtop vacuum unit designed for the safe aspiration and collection of biological liquids such as cell culture supernatant, media and buffers. The system combines a chemically resistant, oil-free diaphragm pump with a collection bottle carried on a common base, so aspirated fluid is captured in a closed container rather than drawn through building vacuum lines. The nameplate on the pump housing reads BVC professional, serial number 109638608, built 2021/11, 100-120 V, 50/60 Hz, 1.9 A, with a maximum pumping speed of 0.7/0.85 m3/h and an ultimate vacuum of 150 mbar. The control panel is marked for 2 L glass and 4 L PP bottle modes with an adjustable vacuum level set by plus/minus keys and an LED bar, plus a manual vacuum regulating knob on the front; the rear of the base carries the appliance inlet and a 2.5 AT 250 VAC fuse holder. The unit shown is fitted with a 4 L polypropylene collection bottle with a screw-on multi-port cap. The field user notes the system is offered plus accessories. Visible with the unit in the photos are a VHCpro hand-operated aspiration controller with silicone tubing, mounting clip, tubing clamps and holder in its Vacuubrand carton (art. no. 20668061), a Sartorius Midisart 2000 0.2 um PTFE hydrophobic inlet filter fitted in the suction line, a spare bottle cap assembly in a bag, a power cord, and the Vacuubrand operating manuals and Nalgene carboy literature. The pump and bottle are wrapped in stretch film for transport in the photos. Condition beyond what is visible was not documented, and the unit was not reported as powered up during the visit, so operation has not been verified.
