Spadoni Kappa/10 BA Plate and Frame Filter
The Spadoni KAPPA press-filter allows both roughing and polishing of the product, depending on the different porosity of the cardboard used. With the use of specific accessories, the Spadoni KAPPA (F-20) plate filter presses for cardboards can be adapted to work – always with excellent results – on a wide range of products: wine; beer; vinegar; distillates; water; fruit juices; syrups; oil; chemical, pharmaceutical or industrial products.
Furthermore, with appropriate modifications, the system can be adapted to perform two different methods of filtration – with two types of filters – in a single production cycle.

OPERATING PRINCIPLES
Spadoni KAPPA cardboard press-filters provide support for the filtering layers, which are made of cardboard and cellulose. The exceptional absorbent properties of the materials allows for the liquid to permeate and pass through the cellulose fibers, which retain and hold the impurities.
CHARACTERISTICS
Bearing structure in carbon steel, covered in 18-10 stainless steel sheet (AISI 304), placed on three wheels, one of which swivels; fixed head, on which the product inlet and outlet are fixed through external manifolds in 18-10 stainless steel (AISI 304); 18-10 stainless steel (AISI 304) sanitary type butterfly valves; sight glasses in stainless steel 18-10 (AISI 304), with inlet and outlet vents; 2 samplers, in 18-10 stainless steel (AISI 304); 2 pressure gauges, with a diameter of 63, to determine the flow resistance (?P); movable head, designed for the conversion plate; fixed bridge, consisting of a suitably shaped steel crosspiece for anchoring the side members, covered in 18-10 stainless steel (AISI 304); 2 tubular steel side members, covered with 18-10 stainless steel tubes (AISI 304); 2 bars in 18-10 stainless steel (AISI 304), to support the cardboards; drip tray with bottom drain; conversion chamber for double filtration; closing group with thrust contrast screw, completely made in 18-10 stainless steel (AISI 304) and equipped with three spokes, for the approach of the movable head, and the tightening of the filter pack.
Food noryl plates with 4 holes (2 for the inlet of the slurry, and 2 for the outlet of the filtrate), which can be steam sterilized.
Plate gaskets in food-grade silicone rubber, for low pressure filtration. Reinforced execution, for pressures up to 5 bar.
