NeurOptics� PLR-200™ Pupillometer The NeurOptics� PLR-200™ Pupillometer is an important research tool. This state-of-the-art hand-held infrared Pupillometer quickly and accurately measures pupil size as well as the pupillary light reflex. The Pupillometer is used by researchers at leading universities, pharmaceutical companies, and contract research organizations worldwide. Ease of use The Pupillometer, which uses infrared imaging technology, is so easy to use that a technician can take measurements after only a few minutes of training and a little practice. It requires no calibration whatsoever by the user. The Pupillometer also automatically calibrates for vertex distance (the distance from the Pupillometer lens to the front of the subject’s eye), which can vary significantly between subjects and affects the accuracy of the measurement. The user can adjust the light stimulus intensity and duration. Results are stored in memory and displayed on a color LCD screen. The iDecoder software allows the user to upload data via infrared (wirelessly) or data cable to a laptop and then transfer into the user’s statistical analysis software of choice.
