Equipment Description

Positmat DEPEMAT Robotic Empty Plastic Bottle Depalletiser - Depalletiser B - 12632.3.01

Designed to automatically load empty plastic bottles into a filling line hopper prior to unscrambling/orientation.

Operation - A standard Euro pallet (1200mm x 800mm) loaded with 10 off layers of bottles that are divided by plastic boards is placed (via forklift truck) onto the automatic inlet feed roller conveyor. The top of each pallet of bottles has a plastic retaining frame. An operator will remove the stretch wrapping and initiate the sequence. Pallet is moved into the elevator section that guides the pallet up one layer at a time. A robotic suction cup arm removes the plastic retainer and divider board. Retainers and boards are stored on top of platform on pallets until a pre-set number is reached. When the set number is reached they are removed by fork lift and replaced with an empty pallet ready for the next cycle. The platform has automatic swing gates for each section that open to provide access to the pallets. The suction cup arm then pushes the exposed layer of bottles into the adjacent hopper on its return stroke. When the pallet is empty it is lowered and ejected to the side of the machine. Empty pallets accumulate here by being stacked on top of one another until a pre-set number is reached, a forklift operator removes the stack of pallets when the set number is reached.

Operation is monitored by various sensors and a CCTV camera system.

Light curtain safety interlock system to prevent access to moving parts.
