Equipment Description
ACMA 759 Powder Filling Line with Dual Lane Carton Handle Riveters - Line 7
Line 7 Established in 1985. Forms cardboard boxes using hot melt glue and fills with detergent powder. The pre-manufactured cartons are loaded into the line in skillets via a depalletiser that loads either of the two riveter lanes. The riveters are currently bypassed and are now only used to open and close the cartons in order to remove the memory on the folds. The riveters were used to attach a carry handle to the top of the carton of detergent powder carton (Redundant parts are still available should the riveters be reinstated). The riveters empty the skillet and then load the cartons into a cassette that transfers a bundle of cartons to the filling machine via a conveyor system that cycles the empty cassettes. The cardboard skillets are returned to the supplier for reuse. This line is only used to produce large cartons (circa 5.5Kg) for wholesale distributors. Line speed is 60 cartons per minute. Cartons are closed with hot melt glue and check weighed. Rejected cartons are ejected from line and the powder reworked. Markem laser printer for batch data. Cartons are conveyed overhead to a palletiser. The ULF 7 Palletiser is shared with Line 4 and is listed separately, Listing Number 953206.
