JEOL JEM-1400 Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) With Accessories

The instrument is a JEOL JEM-1400 Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and it has two camera systems installed: a Gatan Orius SC1000 CCD and a Gatan Ultrascan 1000, both are digital cameras.

There are some associated pieces of equipment with it:

A Cryoplunge 3 - instrument for preparing grids for cryoTEM, along with a cryo sample holder. This microscope CAN be operated for cryoTEM using this equipment. CryoTEM is a pretty popular technique these days, so might be worth mentioning that or including this other instrument as a free package deal with the microscope itself.
An SPI Supplies Plasma Prep, S/N 1568, Model # 11005. This is for glow discharging TEM grids to make their surfaces better for sample preparation.
A Tousimis Autosamdri-814, an instrument for critical point drying of samples in liquid carbon dioxide. This is not
related to the TEM. It can be used to process biological or other wet samples for other microscopic techniques like
scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
